We at Campbell Logistic Services (CLS) understand the obstacles that truckers and trucking companies face on a daily basis because our owner and founder Jim Campbell is a former CDL "class A" driver that has done and seen it all with regard to his having driven and made deliveries and/or pickups to the entire 48 continental United States utilizing 53' dry vans, 48' reefers, 48' flatbeds and chemical tankers during a driving career that spanned 20 years.

Jim Campbell's driving career actually started while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and traveling the world over two and a half times, however, upon his honorable discharge he chose to take a different path in life with regard to entering the business world where he managed restaurants for 13 years.

A love of traveling and the freedom of the open road put Jim back into the seat of a big rig where in all probability he would still be today if not for a freak accident which permanently damaged his left knee, the accident resulted in a completely severed left patella tendon which needed to be surgically repaired. The freakish accident occurred by stepping into a pothole of all things while climbing down out of his tractor.

That same freakish accident that ended Jim's driving career was the start of a new direction in the transportation industry for him with regard to dispatching and brokering freight. The transition was a smooth one, who out there is better qualified to dispatch drivers than a former driver who himself knows America's highways and can talk to drivers in lingo they understand?

Who out there is better suited to bring shippers and carriers together than a former driver that knows our nations highways like the back of his hand and understands the business aspects and cost factors that come into play with regard to the movement of freight from its point of origin to its final destination?
